This position supports the Marketing & Communications department by carrying out the daily and ad hoc tasks that keep the department functioning and help facilitate the duties of individual staff. Key tasks in this role include scheduling conferences or meetings, gathering information for reports, organizing data, facilitating inter-departmental communication and handling travel arrangements.  

  • Assists in the development and implementation of marketing campaigns, product promotions, thought leadership, public relations, collateral, social media, web-based initiatives, and other marketing and communications activities. 
  • Prepares materials for daily department needs; e.g., meeting agendas, calendars, reports, PowerPoint presentation decks, etc. 
  • Coordinates team meetings and gatherings   
  • Manages TDS JIRA ticket request and follow-up for the department 
  • Review and analyze vendor proposals and solicitations  
  • Assists staff in managing and monitoring marketing costs and allocations for department budget.  
  • Manages CMO’s calendar, meeting requests, travel schedule, etc. 
  • Prepares CMO’s expense reports; reconcile statements to ensure all expenses have been captured 
  • Facilitates communication between departments 
  • Manages inventory of all department supplies 
  • Assists with marketing program support for webinar promotions 
  • Assists MCM team members on an ad hoc basis with various marketing and communications projects as needed 
  • Provides support for Councils and Committee staff liaisons such as drafting and disseminating meeting agendas and meeting minutes.

Travel: 

  • Up to 5 days per year

Qualifications:

Required: 

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and leadership skills 
  • Attention to detail, follow-up and perseverance 
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills 
  • Organizational and time management skills 
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment 
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) 
  • Understanding of data within marketing environment      

Desired:  

  • Association or other Not-for-profit organizational experience

Salary Range: $55,000-$65,000

This hybrid position is based in Rosemont, Illinois and is open to applicants who are able to commute weekly to this office.
