The Advanced Analytics Engineer will lead AI/ML initiatives that power strategic insights across Membership, Marketing, Education, and Annual Meeting data. This role focuses on designing and deploying machine learning models and integrating AI-driven analytics into Power BI dashboards to support data-informed decision-making and drive value for our members and the orthopedic community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop predictive and prescriptive models using Python, R, and Power BI
- Integrate AI/ML into dashboards for real-time insights and automation
- Collaborate with BI engineers and stakeholders to translate complex data into actionable visualizations
- Optimize data pipelines and ensure data quality for scalable analytics
- Perform exploratory analysis across large, complex datasets
- Stay current on emerging AI/ML and BI trends to enhance capabilities
- Provide technical support and training to maximize adoption of analytics tools
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field; master’s degree preferred
- 7+ years of relevant IT experience, including 5+ years in AI/ML and advanced analytics
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI, including dashboard development and performance optimization
- Proficiency in Python and R for data analysis, modeling, and workflow integration
- Strong SQL skills and experience with large-scale data wrangling and transformation
- Ability to embed AI/ML models into BI tools and build predictive, prescriptive, and NLP-driven visualizations
- Solid understanding of statistical modeling, A/B testing, and algorithm evaluation
- Experience designing scalable AI/ML solutions (e.g., segmentation, forecasting, anomaly detection)
- Clear communicator with ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to manage multiple projects independently
- Familiarity with data governance, change management, and data stewardship best practices
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
Preferred:
- Experience with medical associations or nonprofit organizations
- Knowledge of AI ethics and responsible ML practices
- Familiarity with Large Language Models, Databricks, Azure Synapse, or Microsoft Fabric
- Certifications in AI/ML, Power BI, or Azure Data/AI services
- Experience with Power BI Embedded and enterprise BI integration
- Hands-on experience with Association Management Systems
- Strong presentation skills and experience communicating insights to executive leadership
Travel:
- Up to 15 days per year
Salary Range: $79,000-$86,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
