The Quality Assurance Analyst will lead and establish quality assurance measures, processes and standards for new and existing information technology products deployed across the organization. This position will be responsible for eliciting and analyzing data to establish test plans and test cases in support of defined use cases and functional requirements for identified systems. The Quality Assurance Analyst will apply problem-solving and analytical skills to validate business processes through thorough quality assurance testing to achieve defined quality standards
Quality Assurance Methodology:
- Improves the QA strategy and supports processes utilizing resources and tools required to maintain quality applications and software products. Leverages best practice QA methods. Develop expert knowledge of AAOS’ technology products and environment
Change Management:
- Creates quality metrics and follows standard operating procedures to support the adherence to defined quality standards. Ensures that testing supports application delivery and release planning aligned with system goals, defined business requirements, and each application meets end-user requirements.
Integrated Business Process:
- Fosters and disseminates QA best practice knowledge and standards.
Communication Management:
- Communicates QA progress and QA results to stakeholders, management, and project teams.
Resource Management:
- Manages the resources required to perform sufficient testing based on defined methodology and system requirements including both TDS and stakeholder resources. Works closely with project managers and/or TDS leadership team to identify resource requirements and provide recommendations for achieving quality assurance objectives.
Testing Execution:
- Develops and maintains quality assurance plans, tests scenarios and tests cases for products and projects. Ensures requirements traceability and alignment to SDLC framework. Delivers appropriate reporting and analytics to ensure adherence to plans. Performs testing as required by project needs. Analyzes test results and leads issue identification and resolution providing recommendations for application improvements.

Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience. A concentration in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Technology is preferred.
- Three or more years of experience leading the design, development, and delivery of QA processes and standards for web application testing.
- Three or more years of experience in a lead QA tester role for one or more custom applications.
- Extensive knowledge of QA methodologies (e.g. static and dynamic testing, system testing, user acceptance testing).
- Proven experience using software such as JIRA, ADO, HP Quality Center, Visual Studio Test Professional (i.e. Microsoft Test Manager), or equivalent.
- Extensive knowledge of project management and development management tools such as JIRA and Azure DevOps (ADO) (strongly preferred).
- Direct experience leading and performing QA on core web applications.
- Advanced knowledge of SDLC methodologies including Agile, SCRUM, and Waterfall (preferred).
- Advanced computer technical knowledge and the ability to stay abreast of technological change.
- Strong project management skills and/or experience working in a project-based environment; knowledge of PMI standards (preferred).
- Ability to collaborate with and influence others.
- Ability to work independently and with a geographically dispersed team with members across various levels of the organization.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
Desired:
- Experience writing and maintaining automated test scripts.
- Familiarity with mobile application testing tools and methodologies.
- Experience with test automation processes and best practices.
- Experience with test automation frameworks such as Progress Test Studio, Katalon, Selenium, Playwright, or similar tools for web application testing.
- Experience with API testing tools like Postman, REST Assured, or SoapUI for automated service testing.
Salary Range: $79,000-$86,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
