As a Program Manager, Quality Programs and Partnerships, you'll lead alignment of our registries with national quality programs, payer initiatives, and accreditation requirements. You’ll serve as the orthopedic quality measures SME and collaborate across Product, Analytics, Technology & Data Services, Engagement, and Support to ensure our dashboards, reports, and specifications stay accurate, current, and clinically meaningful.

You’ll strengthen the value of AAOS registry participation by expanding data‑reuse opportunities across payer, accreditation, and national quality programs, maintaining key national partnerships, overseeing measure lifecycle updates, and driving essential CMS submissions.

  • Manage strategic relationships with CMS, BCBS, The Joint Commission, private payers, and specialty societies to advance registry alignment and value.
  • Maintain AAOS QCDR status including self-nomination, measure submissions, and annual CMS updates.
  • Track regulatory and accreditation changes affecting measure specs, PROMs, benchmarking, exclusions, and reporting.
  • Identify barriers or new requirements that may require system enhancements and inform internal teams.
  • Support payer, accreditation, and quality distinction programs with documentation, validation materials, and submission data.
  • Evaluate emerging payer/quality initiatives and create proposals for strategic expansion.
  • Maintain internal measure specifications, documentation, version control, and public-facing materials.
  • Manage QCDR, MIPS, BCBS, JC, and IQR/OQR operational calendars, deadlines, and performance‑year rules.
  • Partner with Analytics to validate measure performance, benchmarking, and PROM requirements.
  • Support TDS with system development, testing, and issue prioritization.
  • Ensure dashboards, visualizations, and reports accurately reflect annual program changes.
  • Coordinate distribution of site‑level performance feedback and artifacts.
  • Collaborate with TDS, Engagement, Support, Marketing, and surgeon champions to educate, communicate, and drive meaningful quality outcomes.
  • Monitor rulemaking cycles and identify opportunities to expand registry use within value‑based care, outcomes‑based contracting, and quality improvement.
  • Maintain compliance for QCDR submissions, CMS requirements, audits, and partner program documentation.

Travel:

  • Up to 10 days per year

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor’s in public health, Nursing, or related clinical field (or equivalent experience)
  • 3+ years in project/program management in healthcare
  • 3+ years in clinical/quality measurement development; knowledge of measure development; certification experience a plus (HEDIS, JC, MIPS, NCQA)
  • Exceptional communication, organization, presentation, and customer‑service skills
  • Strong business acumen, relationship-building abilities, and cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, solve problems with limited information, and make informed decisions.
  • Strong analytical orientation and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, MS Teams
  • Experience with ambiguity, dynamic environments, and driving results.
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI, IRB, and related regulatory areas

Desired:

  • Masters in public health, Nursing, or related field
  • Experience with payer/recognition programs (MIPS, BCBS Blue Distinction) and accreditation (NCQA, Joint Commission)
  • Familiarity with MS Project and JIRA

Salary Range: $100,000-$103,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
